Responsive Websites are many. They allow your website to be viewed on a desktop or laptop computer without having to scroll all the way across the page. It’s easier to look at and navigate through it on these platforms.

These websites also make it possible for websites with complicated graphics, text, and large pictures to be viewed on phones and smaller tablets. And since these websites are viewed on the browser, the content is always readable.

The current trend for responsive websites was started by Google in 2020. The goal was to create websites that could be viewed and enjoyed no matter what computer or platform the user might be using. After more than a decade of experimentation, the company has reached its ultimate goal with the Google Search Appliance (GSA).

With this device, the user can type a query and click on a link that would bring them to Google’s homepage. By using GSA, search engines could show different results to the user depending on where in the world they were. The result page would appear as though the user was typing a search term that would bring them to the homepage.

Even with the increasing demands from mobile users, different versions of responsive websites have emerged. The browser, instead of the search engine, would determine the results of the search query. And this change in how results would be displayed changed the way search engines deliver results.

Search engines that include search results from Google, Bing, or Yahoo would not be affected by the change in how results would be displayed. However, those search engines that didn’t include these results would be left with data that didn’t match their specifications. This would result in a delayed or incorrect search for users.

Fortunately, there are now third-party extensions that would work to prevent any glitches in search engines. The extensions usually implement different ways for the search engines to present results.

There are now even more ways for the search engines to present the information to the user. For example, the extension could alert the user to the available sites, at least in some cases. However, there are those who don’t have the desire to browse the Internet, while there are others who find it necessary to go through the search engine results.

An extension might also provide information about each site, including the most relevant parts of the site. This is great for users who don’t necessarily have the time to check every single site in order to find the best results.

The same goes for those search engines that have more complicated interfaces. The extensions would tell the user how to access all the different results without losing the user’s interest. This would be a great time saver for everyone.

Responsive Websites might not be something new for you to think about. They may just seem too mainstream, but even if it is too mainstream, it is a fact that these websites can give more convenience to web users everywhere. They should be given a chance.
